Update on World Bowls Championships

The World Bowls Championships, currently being played in Adelaide are now up to the semi-final & finals stage and the Aussies are doing magnificently.

As of today, the position of the men's games are:

Mens Singles - Leif Selby to play in the semi-final on Sunday - his opponent still to be determined- with the final to be played that afternoon at 4.30pm.

Men's Pairs - Leif Selby & Aron Sheriff to play Scotland in the final at 10am Thursday

Men's Triples - Ruediger, Wilkie & Casey to play China in a quarter final on Thursday. They came second, 2 points behind New Zealand, in their pool.

Men's Fours - Ruediger, Wilkie, Casey & Sheriff are playing Scotland in the semi-final this afternoon. The other semi is between Ireland & South Africa

The ladies are doing almost as well -

Singles - Karen Murphy to play England in the semi-final on Friday
Pairs -    Australia to play New Zealand in the final on Thursday
Triples - Australia to play in the semi-final on Thursday
Fours-     Came 5th in their pool and eliminated.

In other news, Belrose will be playing Kempsey Heights in the semi-final of the Bowls NSW Club Challenge Gold Division at Warilla at 6pm on Saturday next with the final on Sunday morning.
