Belrose wins through in Bowls NSW Club Challenge

Belrose sides have won their sections in both the Men's Gold and Silver divisions of this year's Bowls NSW Club Challenge and the North Sydney side has done the same in the Mixed Gold division. All will now progress to the regional finals.

This competition has attracted entries from clubs throughout the state. There were entries from 36 clubs in the Gold, 72 in the Silver and 24 in the Mixed divisions. The format is sides of 7 players competing in Singles, Pairs & Fours. The Men's Gold division is for open grade players, the Silver division for players of Grade 2 Pennants. North Sydney also entered a sides in the Gold and Silver divisions and were runners up in both and, to their credit, Willoughby Park entered the Men's Blue division.

The regional finals of the men's Gold & Silver divisions will be played at Ashfield on Saturday 23rd & 24th November and Belrose Gold will play Taren Point and Belrose Silver will play Springwood. North Sydney will play Penrith at a venue to be decided. The State finals will be played at Warilla on 14th & 15th December.

Last year, Belrose were runners up in the Gold Division, going down to Dubbo Railway in the final to take home Silver. Gold this year??
