THE SENIOR'S FINAL WAS A REPEAT PERFORMANCE

YES, IT'S A VERY FAMILIAR FACE WITH A NEW RECRUIT

THE final of the senior zone pairs was won by Crawford Linton and new recruit Tony Taylor, who played lead (replacing Dave Shearer), and we apologise for our belated acknowledgement, as Crawford was awarded the 2014 "Senior Bowler of the Year" last February.

A morning start which really wasn't necessary, required the mandatory aiming juice and Belrose lead 10-4 early, then15-6 until the irrepressible and versatile Errol (Ezzie) Millsteed,  club singles winner and sometimes Harbord skip, with lead, Mal Fairlie got their act together and were within four shots midway through the game.

However, it was short lived as Crawford resorted to the successful tactic of varying the length, which saw them gallop away to win 24-12, notching up Crawford's fourth win in this event, including a State title, just for good measure.
