Neutral Bay BC's 65th Annual Peter Russell Memorial Trophy competition recently concluded with the strong Belrose combination of James Brown, Graham Hartmann, Adam Moody and Mike (Doc) Smith taking out the final and being awarded the impressive trophy (see photo).

This annual event began in 1951 and can certainly lay claim to being one of the oldest continuing tournaments held on the north side of the harbour, if not the whole of Sydney.

Peter Russell was a member of Neutral Bay BC during the 1940s and upon his death bequeathed a perpetual trophy as a symbol of his appreciation of the fellowship of bowls and to foster good will and friendship amongst the bowlers of northern Sydney.
