AFTER  THEIR  CONVINCING  ZONE

     WIN,  ASQUITH  NOW  LOOKING

           AT  A   STATE  TITLE

IT may have been only three years ago that Asquith won their last zone 5 flag, but this time they plan to go one better at the State play offs in August at or around the Soldiers Point area.

This final was another example where one side jumps to an early lead while their opposition, in this case Dee Why remained holding one shot, while Asquith scored 15.

After 28 ends Dee Why had settled into the game and in fact were one shot in front, then Asquith put their foot down for the second time and slowly bridged the gap to be 25 shots up after 55 ends.

FINAL SCORE: Asquith 66 def. Dee Why 36

BACK ROW: PETER ATACK, JIM BROOKS, NIK URUKALO, JOE VUMBACA, DAVE TAYLOR, KEN BAIN, PHIL STEELE, CLINT HARDY, JOHN HUTCHINSON.

FRONT ROW: PETER BARTER, JOHN DANIELI, GARY WILLIAMS
