HOPEFULLY no one at Norths' will ever tell Frankie Spanyik that bowls have no ears and chasing it down the green and threatening to kick it in the "you know where" if it doesn't reach the head doesn't mean a thing.

Because it's all great theatre and puts life into a sport that sadly lacks characters like him.

Both Frank and his opponent, Asquith's Ross Moore experienced close semi final wins, which can be very draining, both physically and mentally. However, it certainly didn't appear to have any effect on Frank's theatrics, or for that matter his opponent's positive attitude towards a final win.

Ross was first to settle into the game and took an early lead, although it wasn't long before Frank hit his straps and led 13-9. Similar to the Senior game a couple of rinks over, there were both a mixture of good and some ordinary heads.

Despite Frank's collision with the bank while chasing a bowl and overran the green, it obviously didn't effect his bowling ability, as he extended his lead by 13 shots.

The jury's out as to whether the Norths' supporters cheer squad injected any additional enthusiasm into his game, but Frank found that little extra to go out a 31-15 winner.

Franks single's achievement now complements his 2015 Reserve fours win.
