With the completion of this afternoon's Round 3 matches of the BNSW State Pennant Finals the semi-finalists in all Grades have been decided and it is the Mona Vale Grade 2 side that carries the hopes of Zone 9 into tomorrow's play after emerging as undefeated section winners down at Wagga.  The North Sydney Grade 1 side, who faced an awesome task in their winner-take-all sectional match against the powerful Cabramatta side and were not disgraced in going down, are to be congratulated for their fantastic season claiming many top scalps along the way.

Grade 1    North Sydney lost to Cabramatta   38-75

Grade 2    Mona Vale defeated Grandviews   59-54

Grade 3    Pittwater Memorial defeated Scone   60-52

Grade 4    West Pymble lost to Dapto Citizens   53-56

Grade 5    Asquith lost to Tuncurry Beach   50-65

Grade 6    Forestville RSL lost to Dubbo City   34-84

Grade 7    Neutral Bay/North Sydney lost to Armidale City   45-72

The omens are hopefully on the side of Mona Vale tomorrow as the most recent State Champion Pennant Flags won by a Zone 9 Club have both been in Grade 2 - by Harbord BC in 2007 and 2013.

Good luck to the Mona Vale boys!!
