Only a little success at State Pennant Finals

Tony Tinworth, Sunday, 3 August 2008

Harbord Grade 4 Pennant side were the only side to progress to the semi-finals of the State Pennant Finals being played this weekend, winning their Section with 2 wins plus 51 shots. They play Albion Park in the Semis this Sunday afternoon.

In the other Grades, Asquith was the only Club to have some early success, with the 1's, 5's and 6's all winning their first Round matches. Unfortunately their success was short lived as they all lost their second Round matches. The Asquith 1's and 5's did win their third Round matches to both finish second in their Sections

Seaforth 7's side won their third Round match to come 3rd in their Section. Unfortunately Newport 2's and Belrose 3's 'failed to trouble the scorer'.

More news on Harbord's progress as results come to hand.
